Finding Purpose:

My Journey with Tribal Nations MC By Roy McWatters (WEST), President

In October 2016, I started hanging out with Tribal Nations MC,    a decision that changed my life in ways I could never have imagined. Before that, my path had been filled with bad choices. As a young adult, I was caught up in drugs, taking things that didn’t belong to me, and surrounding myself with people who were leading me further down the wrong road. Eventually, those choices caught up with me, and I ended up in prison.

When I was released, I spent years searching for something to belong to—something meaningful. I turned to kickboxing and playing league, which took care of my physical needs, but there was still something missing on the inside. I wanted to be part of something that truly mattered, something that could support those who had nowhere else to turn. That’s when I found Tribal Nations MC.

Becoming a Leader In July 2017,

I became a full-set member, and not long after, I stepped up to serve on the National Table. My journey within the club has been one of growth, responsibility, and deep commitment:

1 term as Kaitiaki

1 term as National Sgt at Arms (after the title change from Kaitiaki)

1 term as Vice President

Currently in my first year as President

Being a part of Tribal Nations MC is not just about riding, it’s about family, loyalty, and purpose.

This club is a massive part of my life, and the members are more than just friends. They are my brothers, sisters, and whānau. Moving Forward I love this club deeply, and I will do whatever it takes to help it be the best MC it can be, both for those looking in and for those who are just starting their journey with us. To those who are searching for something real, something that offers support and belonging, you are not alone. We ride together, we stand together, and we are stronger together.

Finding My Passion on Two Wheels

My Journey with Tribal Nations MC By Mitchell Rowling (Shotgun), Te Tauihu Ambassador

My name is Mitchell Rowling, also known as Shotgun, and I am honored to serve as the Te Tauihu Ambassador for Tribal Nations MC.

My journey into the world of motorcycles began at 16, back in 2017, when I got my bike license even before my car license. Starting out on sports bikes, I quickly discovered the freedom and joy that riding brought me. During my high school years, I struggled with depression, relying on antidepressants to get through each day. However, my motorcycle became my escape, my happy place, and the one thing that gave me a sense of peace and control.

Discovering Tribal Nations MC At 18 (2019)

A friend introduced me to Tribal Nations MC. Initially, I was drawn to the club’s appearance—the brotherhood, the bikes, the presence. But as I spent more time around them, I began to see the deeper meaning and kaupapa behind what they stood for. Their purpose resonated with me, and I knew I had found my people. I wanted to be a part of something bigger than myself. I made a significant shift in my riding lifestyle, selling my japa and buying a Harley. Soon after, in 2020, I earned my place as a front set club member.

Rising Through the Ranks

In 2021, I became the youngest full-set member at the time, a milestone that filled me with pride and gratitude. I was growing not only as a rider but also as a person, surrounded by a family of like-minded brothers and sisters who shared the same passion and values. Then, in March 2023, I was given the incredible honor of becoming the youngest ambassador Tribal Nations MC had ever seen. This role has been a privilege, allowing me to represent and give back to the club and the community that has given me so much.

Looking Ahead As 2025 approaches, I will be celebrating my fifth year with Tribal Nations MC. This club is more than just a motorcycle club to me—it is a whānau. A family built on respect, support, and a shared love for the road. And I have no plans of leaving anytime soon. To those who may be searching for their own path, know that you are not alone. There is a place for you, and sometimes, that place is on two wheels, surrounded by people who truly understand.
